The International Air Transport Association (IATA) says global passenger traffic continues to expand as international travel demand remains strong across major aviation markets.
According to the latest industry data, airlines are experiencing higher passenger loads on both domestic and international routes, with Asia-Pacific carriers leading much of the recovery.
Airlines have also continued expanding capacity to meet increasing travel demand while addressing aircraft delivery delays and supply-chain challenges.
Industry experts expect international tourism and business travel to remain key drivers of airline revenue through the second half of 2026.
